Which is Better in Summers, Manali or Kashmir?

I get this question so many times that, In summer, should I go to Manali or should I go to Kashmir? And honestly, it is not a easy choice. Because both places are beautiful, both have mountains, and both have cool weathers when the rest of India is hot like fire. But still, when I think about it slowly, I feel that the answer depends on what your heart wants, are you unable to understand, dont worry, after reading this blog, you will understand.

Manali in Summers (Green and Full of Energy)

Especially In summers, Manali is not covered with snows like in winter, but it is soo green, soo fresh. And the rivers are full, the apple trees are growing fast, and the markets are fully alive, and even you can sit near Beas River for hours, and do some short treks, and yes, you can try some adventure activities, and adventure activities are the most famous things in Manali. One of my favorite activities in summer is going for paragliding in Dobhi, and doing river rafting in Beas River because it is not too crowded and you get the most peaceful activites over green hills. And also, Rohtang Pass sometimes still has snows even in June, so you get a little winter feel in even summers.

Kashmir in Summers (Like a Painting)

Now, Kashmir in summer is well beautifull, and Kashmir has green valleys, lakes with shikaras, gardens full of flowers, and you can visit Gulmarg, pahalgam, Sonamarg, and of course, Dal Lake in Srinagar( it is soo beautifull). The weather is also cool, and sometimes even a little chilly like you are in italy. Kashmir feels more real and about nature you travel more to see different places. And in Manali, everything feels closer like it is a part of a body.

Which One Feels Better?

If you want a trip that is totally a mix of adventure and and nature too, where you can walk to the market in the evening, eat momos, and still do river rafting the next day, then i think Manali will make you happy. If you want to see big open valleys, more peaceful views, and to take slow boat rides, then Kashmir is what do you want.

My Honest Feeling

Honestly for me, Manali in summer feels more alive than Kashmir, in Manali there is good music from cafes, people laughing on Mall Road having fun, and the sound of the river always following you, almost everywhere. And Kashmir feels calmer, slower, and maybe more romantic. So if you ask me which one is better? Then i will say, for adventure and vibe, go for Manali. Bur for pure calm and postcard views, then go to Kashmir.
